Features for VC6
Highlight Current Line
Use Highlight Current Line to locate the caret at a glance. Save time searching for the caret when navigating files and changing focus.
Options
Highlight Current Line is enabled and disabled in the Visual Assist X Options dialog.There are three styles of highlight:
Dotted box (Visual Studio 2008 and earlier only)
Solid box
Background (Enhanced syntax coloring is disabled when this option is selected in Visual Studio 2008 and earlier IDEs.)
Choose the desired style using the Display tab of the VA options dialog.
In Visual Studio 2010, choose Frame (box only) or Background (box plus background color).
Color Control
Change color of the box and background by setting the value of VA X Current Line in the Fonts and Colors node of the IDE options dialog.
For Visual Studio 2008 and earlier, the foreground color is applied to the text when using the "Foreground and background" style, effectively disabling Enhanced syntax coloring for the current line. For Visual Studio 2010 and later, the foreground color is applied to the box regardless of style, and text is displayed using Enhanced syntax coloring. This is due to a difference in the text editor rendering engine introduced in Visual Studio 2010.
Miscellaneous
If you change the style, you may need to restart the IDE for the change to take effect.This feature is only available in Visual Studio.
